Crazy 8 Miler Trail Hike

Overview
Come take in the scenery on a beautiful trail in York River State Park! This trail is normally mountain bike only, but today we can hike! The 8 mile course is a mixture of fire roads and single track trails. The trails are technical and rolling- and very fun! Exposed roots, bridges, and ravines can be found on the route in this beautiful park. We will use the Backbone, Laurel Glen and Marl Ravine trails.
Start time is 8am and packets can be picked up race morning. There is a competitive trail run in conjunction with this hike event. The course will stay open for 3 and a half hours. The aid stations will only be open for about 2 hours, so plan to bring water an any other supplies you think you will need. This is a self supported event after 10am, but the finish line will be there for you!
Each finisher will receive a medal. No overall or age groups awards. T-shirts are an optional add on. Park entry is free and your entry fee includes a donation to The Friends of York River State Park. Each hiker will have a race bib and some refreshments will be available at the finish. Dogs are welcome, but the trail is single file and challenging.
